The Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma on Monday appointed sole administrators to head the 27 council areas of the state.
The state Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, disclosed this to newsmen in Owerri.
Addressing newsmen, Emelumba stated that the sole administrators would stay in office for only 60 days, after which the governor would conduct local government elections in the state which has not been conducted for several years.
Recall that Boss Radio 98.9fm Owerri through her radio Program ‘The State of Nation’ urged the government to conduct Local government elections so that governance can get to the grassroot.
