Imo residents have reacted to the National Anthem Bill 2024 passed by the Senate to revert to the old national anthem.
The bill which seeks to revive the anthem that was dropped in 1978 during Olusegun Obasanjo’s military administration speedily passed first and second readings on Thursday, this is as it now awaits assent into law by President Bola Tinubu.
Faulting the timing of the bill, two residents Ginika Ijedinma and Joy Ade who spoke in Pidgin to Bizziboss newsteam lamented the high cost of food items as the prevailing issue in the country.

Recall On Monday, the Senate began a public hearing on an Act to provide for the National Anthem of Nigeria and related matters.
