President Bola Tinubu has said the reintroduction of the old national anthem has always been his priority and that he couldn’t resist the bill when the National Assembly presented it.
Tinubu disclosed this during his meeting with the leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) at the State House in Abuja today, according to a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
He said the National Assembly made the law reverting to the old national anthem and he does not have a choice but to obey the legislation.
According to Tinubu, Nigeria’s diversity should be protected and celebrated.
