Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially sworn in the newly appointed Caretaker Chairmen for the 23 local government areas of the state.
The ceremony took place in the Executive Council Chambers of Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, which followed the appointments, the recent screening and confirmation by the State Assembly.
Fubara had forwarded the names for approval on Tuesday, subsequent to the expiration of the previous local government Chairmen’s tenure on June 17, 2024.
