Rivers United coach Finidi George has swung into action by taking charge of his first training session on Monday in Port Harcourt as the club begin preparations for the 2024/25 season.
According to photos shared on th3 club’s handle, Finidi was spotted dishing instructions to the players and discussing with his technical crew, including coach Evans Ogenyi who led the team until the end of last season.
However, he does not have the full complement of the squad yet, with the club still negotiating with about 13 out-of-contract players while they also try to bring in new players.
Recall that the 53-year-old was appointed last week Wednesday following his resignation as the head coach of the Super Eagles last month.
