The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), has intensified calls for the safe return of Ganiyat Popoola, a resident doctor at the National Eye Centre in Kaduna.
NARD, in a series of social media posts on Monday and Tuesday have expressed concern within the medical community, making appeals for their release.
In its efforts to ensure the release of their colleague, they launched a social media campaign, expressing a desperate need for assistance to ensure Ganiyat’s safe return.
Recall that on December 27th, 2023, Popoola was was kidnapped alongside her husband and nephew.
However, the husband of Ganiyat Popoola was released after a ransom was paid, while Popoola and her nephew remain in the hands of their captors.
