The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, has condemned the anti-Igbo slogan and emphasized that there is no room for ethnic bigotry in the state.
Speaking with the Newsmen on “The Morning Show,” Hamzat stressed the state’s efforts to engage and involve youth across various sectors to foster collaboration and achieve governmental goals.
He criticized the comment by “Lagospedia” on Twitter with the hashtag #Igbomustgo#, reaffirming that such views are not aligned with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s policies.
Hamzat highlighted Lagos as a place of peaceful coexistence among diverse tribes and dismissed attempts to divide the state.
He also discussed initiatives to engage youth, improve public transportation, and boost local agricultural production for economic growth and food security.
