Marriage is not proof of God’s hand in your life

Grammy-winning gospel artist Kirk Franklin has raised concerns about the way certain aspects of Christianity, particularly in the West, have been distorted.
Speaking in an interview with Journalists, Franklin expressed that concepts like marriage, and giving have been weaponized within Western Christianity.
Franklin also criticized societal and familial pressures, noting that single women, especially in the Black community, often face judgment for not being married by a certain age.
Franklin emphasized that marriage should not be seen as a prerequisite for one’s identity or value in the eyes of God arguing that these misguided beliefs have pushed some to rush into marriage to fit in rather than following their true purpose.
