In overnight Israeli attack on an apartment in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza has resulted in multiple Palestinian civilian casualties, including children, with many others injured, according to Gaza’s civil defense agency. Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, a Palestinian man was killed and around a dozen others were injured during an attack by armed Israeli settlers on local communities, which also saw cars burned and property destroyed.
On the diplomatic front, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari has announced that peace talks aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza will resume on Friday while the Mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and the United States wrapped up a ‘constructive’ day of discussions on Thursday, with talks set to continue today.
The ongoing conflict has claimed at least 40,005 lives and injured 92,401 people in Gaza. In Israel, the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 have resulted in approximately 1,139 deaths and over 200 captives.
