Davido pretended to be poor as upcoming artist says Berry

Afrobeats singer and producer Maleek Berry recently shared a memorable encounter with fellow artist Davido during their early days in the music industry.
Speaking to journalists, the ‘Kontrol’ hitmaker revealed that despite Davido’s wealthy background, he pretended to be just another struggling artist when they worked together in a London studio.
Berry recalled being stunned when he eventually visited Davido’s father’s mansion but he acted like one of the poor kids.
He also mentioned that it was Davido who later connected him to Wizkid, marking another significant moment in his career.
