The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has identified that 21 candidates with fraudulent IJMB results were recommended for admission in 2023 by various institutions.
In a policy document obtained by newsmen in Abuja, JAMB noted that 12 out of the 21 candidates were recommended by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
JAMB stated in a bulletin that it is essential for the Board, as the moderator of the examinations, to take necessary actions to prevent unacceptable practices and protect the progress made in the education sector from being undermined by unscrupulous individuals.
Recall that JAMB in 2021 unveiled the Nigerian Post-Secondary Education Data System verification platform for the verification of IJMB and JUPEB results.
