In Indonesia, a plane carrying 48 people skidded off the runway in the remote eastern region of Papua on Monday, resulting in several passengers sustaining injuries.
The ATR-42 aircraft, operated by Trigana Air, was departing from an airport in Yapen Islands regency, bound for the Papuan capital of Jayapura, when the incident occurred.
The flight had 42 passengers, including an infant, and six crew members on board.
According to news reports, all individuals aboard survived and were subsequently transported to a hospital for health checkups.
