The Federal Government, through its Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), is offering Lagos residents free vehicle conversions to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
This one-day event, happening on Friday, September 13, from 3 pm to 6 pm, will take place at six designated locations across Lagos. Under the “Operation First Come, First Serve” initiative, the first 50 vehicles at each site that pass inspection will receive free CNG conversion kits.
This will allow drivers to refuel at just N230 per SCM at any NIPCO station, providing significant savings compared to petrol.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, announced the initiative on Thursday via his official X account, urging Lagosians to take advantage of the offer.
This effort is part of a larger government plan to promote eco-friendly transportation, ease the financial burden of high fuel prices, and support the shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
