A chieftain of the Apex socio-cultural Organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, has issued a warning against any move to nominate a Northern presidential candidate to block the South’s chances in the 2027 elections.
Isiguzoro on Wednesday urged political parties not to marginalize the Southeast as preparations for the 2027 elections begin.
Speaking in his capacity as the factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, he emphasized the need for equity, fairness, and justice in Nigeria’s political process.
He also noted that those who attempted to sideline the Southeast during the 2023 election cycle are now seeing the consequences of their actions.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo reaffirmed its stance that the Southeast must not be silenced or marginalized, stressing the importance of upholding democratic principles and ensuring all Nigerians, particularly those from the Southeast, have their voices heard.
