Pro-Democracy group writes Akpabio, demands Buba’s investigation

The Nigeria Democratic Front (NDF) has written to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, demanding a thorough investigation into allegations against Shehu Buba, which bothers on affiliation with wanted bandits.

In the letter made available to Newsmen on Tuesday, and signed by NDF spokesman, Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe, the group demanded that the allegations should not be swept under the carpet, stressing that the Nigerian people demands investigation and accountability.

The group reiterated that allowing Buba to continue to head the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence while under investigation threatens to undermine any efforts to address Nigeria’s security crisis
It could be recalled that the Bauchi South Senator was accused of having links with bandits earlier this year.
