About 172 countries, including the United States of America and India, are expected to participate in the 2024 edition of the Rivers International Film Festival scheduled to be held between 24th and 27th October 2024 in Port Harcourt.
According to report from the film festival organizers, 2,230 films have been submitted for the event.
The Festival Director, Kate Ezeigbo while briefing media in Port Harcourt stated that the United States of America and India are top list of countries that submitted films for the the three-day event.
She revealed that the RIFF was birthed in October 2023 and was the first indigenous film festival held in Rivers State which is aimed at educating and empowering the next generation of filmmakers.
