Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has suspended the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Francis Ori, and the Commissioner for Health, Moses Ekuma, for three months.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Jude Chikadibia, during a press briefing on Tuesday.
He explained that the decision, made during the State Executive Council meeting held on Monday, was to suspend them for gross misconduct and neglect of duties.
Also on the list of those suspended are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Lawrence Ezeoke; the Executive Secretary of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Philip Ovuoba; and Executive Secretary of the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency (EBSHIA), Divine Igwe.
