The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities says it would soon shut down Universities because of the failure of the Federal Government to implement the Memorandum of Action it signed with the Union.
This was disclosed by the National President of SSANU, Mohammed Ibrahim, during an interview with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.
Ibrahim disclosed that the Union has been reluctant to resume its suspended strike because of its effect on students, university education and the parents, regretting that the Federal Government is forcing the union to down tools.
The SSANU President, however, urged the federal government to invite the Union immediately for the renegotiation.
