Governor Obaseki to Recruit Youths for Forest Protection

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has revealed plans to recruits youths to protect forests across the state.

Governor Obaseki gave the directive after a fact-finding mission to the community with a team of security agencies comprising the police.

He ordered the immediate disbandment of all members of the vigilante group accused of aiding illegal wood loggers and other criminal elements in the area.

The governor added that security has been strengthened in the area to ward off illegal loggers and other criminal elements.
