Cross River State government has said residents are being tested with mobile X-ray machines to check for Tuberculosis.
The State Commissioner for Health, Betta Edu, disclosed this on Thursday in commemoration of this year’s World Tuberculosis Day.
Edu stated that over 60 per cent of those who have tested positive to TB in the state have been put on treatment, especially at the community level.
The Commissioner added that anyone who has a cough that was beyond two weeks, breathlessness, excessive sweating at night, fever, chest tightening and other signs should go to any of the care centers in the state and get tested.
