Abia government berates Abaraibe over party zoning

Abia State Government has berated the Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe for attacking the position of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on zoning.

A statement issued by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Eze Chikamnayo, stated that Abaribe’s comments were unguarded and borne out of self interest, which was a calculated attempt to destabilize the party.
The statement noted that any personal attack on the PDP is a wasteful exercise unexpected of a senior official like the Senate Minority Leader.
The Senator who is from Abia South, had, in a statement said the zoning of the governorship position to Abia Central and Abia North was targeted at him.
