The Federal Government has accused the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Education of being selfish over their ongoing strike action.
Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, made this known while speaking to newsmen in Abuja.
Nwajiuba stressed that the unions should not have disrupted the life of students because of money that would eventually be paid.
The minister stated that it is selfish for the unions to shut down the universities, noting that they are not the only ones that have demands.
