FG Says Lassa Fever Has Claimed 132 Lives in 2022

The Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora has revealed that Lassa fever outbreak has claimed the lives of 132 persons since the beginning of 2022.

Mamora said 3,746 suspected cases and 691 confirmed cases had also been recorded in 23 States in the country.

The Minister noted that Lassa fever cases were on the rise, with a case fatality rate of 19.1 percent.
