The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says the Commission will address the challenges experienced with its new technology during last Saturday’s by-election in Delta State.
INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this at the commission’s meeting to welcome the three new national commissioners at its headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
Yakubu said the challenges experienced would be addressed before the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State.
He listed some of the challenges to include; the difficulty of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS to match voter’s live images against the image on the register in a few instances.
Recall that INEC deployed the new technology, BVAS, at the Isoko South 1 State Constituency bye-election in Delta State on Saturday.
