Edo State Government has promised to build more facilities for Lassa fever testing.
The state Commissioner for Health, Obehi Akoria, disclosed this after the weekly State Executive Council meeting at the Government House, in Benin.
Akoria noted that this was part of efforts to contain the epidemic in the state, adding that within the next couple of weeks, the state government will add two more facilities to the already-existing one.
The Commissioner assured that the state government is committed to funding the testing of all those who need to get testing done before surgery.
