Buhari Approves Police Recruitment

Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba says that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the recruitment of 10,000 officers into the Police Force.

Baba who made this known yesterday during his visit to Kwara State Police Command, Ilorin, the state capital, said the recruitment will increase the manpower in the force in order to contend with the current insurgency crisis.

He disclosed that the recruitment would be done across the 774 local governments in the country and that indigenes from respective councils would be given priority.
