Presidency Harps on the Need to Increase in Country Production of Vaccines

The Presidency has harped on the need to increase the capacity for in-country production of vaccines and medical supplies.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, directed the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, to submit a progress report by the end of May 2022 on the indigenous production of vaccines.

The statement revealed the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on Nigeria’s economy and how some nations adopted a me-first attitude towards securing their citizens.
