A State High court sitting in Oyo has ordered the Department of State Services, DSS, to pay Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, the sum of N20 billion.
In his ruling, the presiding judge, Ladiran Akintola, awarded the sum as compensation for the invasion and damage done on Igboho’s house.
Justice Akintola declared the raid illegal and criticized the DSS for arbitrary aggression and prejudices.
Recall that Igboho through his lawyer, Yomi Aliyu, had filed a suit challenging the invasion of his house in Ibadan on July 1 by operatives of DSS.
