White House proposes to sell assets of Russian Oligarchs

The White House has proposed giving the government power to seize and sell the assets of Russian oligarchs, and transfer their proceeds to Ukraine.

A statement issued by the White House revealed that the legislative proposal will be presented to Congress for consideration.

The statement noted that the proposal will establish new authorities for the forfeiture of property linked to Russian kleptocracy, strengthen related law enforcement tools.
