The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed a new date for the definite hearing of a suit instituted against President Muhammadu Buhari by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, on Section 84 (11) and (12) of the Electoral Act 2022.
In his ruling, the presiding Judge, Inyang Ekwo, fixed the judgment for May 24 to enable Buhari and PDP to address the court on the effect of the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Recall that the PDP had filed a suit against the President praying for an order of interim injunction restraining him and other defendants from refusing to implement the duly signed Section 84 (12) of the Electoral Act.
