The US Justice Department has secured the forfeiture of a mansion bought by former the Gambian president Yahya Jammeh.
A statement issued by the Justice Department, revealed that the property is said to have been acquired through a trust set up by his wife, Zineb Jammeh.
The statement noted that the property has now been forfeited to the US along with all rental income generated by the property.
The former president is accused of having conspired with family and associates by using overseas trusts to launder his alleged corrupt proceeds.
