Enugu State government has stepped up surveillance against the spread of monkey pox in the 14 Local Government Areas of the State.
Executive Secretary of Primary Health Care Development Agency, George Ugwu, made this known during an interview with newsmen on Wednesday in Enugu.
According to Ugwu, disease surveillance Officers in Council Areas has been sensitized and placed on alert to detect any case of monkey pox.
He, however, urged residents in the State to maintain personal and environmental hygiene.
