China reaffirms support for Russia’s security issue

Chinese President, Xi Jinping has restated the country’s support for Moscow on issues of sovereignty and security.

Xi told Russian President Vladimir Putin to urge all parties to responsibly push for a proper settlement of the Ukraine crisis.

He commended the legitimacy of the actions taken by Russia to protect the fundamental national interests created by external forces.

China has not criticized Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and has not referred to it in such terms.
