Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, has warned that the Federal Government’s inability to secure lives and property would leave citizens with no choice than to arm themselves.
Akeredolu, who gave the warning at a meeting of Attorneys-General of the 36 States of Nigeria, in Lagos state, charged security agencies to close shop if Federal Government is unable to meet its equipment needs.
The Governor added that the current spate of insecurity in the country leaves no room for equivocation on the right of states to maintain law and order through the establishment of state police.
