Zamfara Governor Okays Death Penalty for Bandits

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has given approval for death penalty for bandits, kidnappers, among several others.

Matawalle signed the law on Tuesday in Gusau, the State Capital after the State House of Assembly recommended the death penalty for criminal elements.

The Governor maintained that the law will serve as an instrument to prosecute offenders of the crimes in the State.
