Victor Uwaifo to get State Burial

Edo State Government says it will organize a state burial for late music maestro, Victor Uwaifo.

A statement signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Osaigbovo Iyoha, said the government is firming up arrangements with the family of the deceased.

Uwaifo was the first Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in the State.

The ‘Guitar boy’ obtained a Ph.D. in Architectural Sculpture at the University of Benin, UNIBEN, and lectured at the institution’s Department of Fine and Applied Art.
