Haitian Government has postponed General elections scheduled for November indefinitely after the country’s prime minister dismissed all members of the electoral body.
Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who ordered the dissolution of the nine-member Provisional Electoral Council, CEP, yesterday, said he would appoint a new electoral council, but did not disclose when he would do so.
It is the fourth time the election has been postponed.
The CEP is Haiti’s electoral commission and the body responsible for organizing presidential and parliamentary elections.
