Zamfara State government has urged the 18 registered political parties and their candidates to obey the stipulated rules in order to promote peace as campaigns kick-off.
This was disclosed by the state commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Jangebe, in Gusau, the State capital.
According to him, politics should not be a do or die affair, adding that politicians should always ensure that public interests are prioritized to override their personal interest and desires.
The commissioner charged the aspirants to avoid derogatory remarks capable of causing trouble and creating tension.
