Federal Government Denies Plan to Privatize TCN

The Ministry of Power has said there is no plan to privatize the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN.

Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement issued by his Media Aide, Isa Sanusi.

The statement noted that these reports are untrue and are only mere misinformation aimed at spreading panic in the power sector.

It, therefore, urged the public to dismiss statements regarding a non-existing plan to sell the company, stating that no government official has made a statement of intent to sell the Company.
