Nigerian Correctional Service, NCoS, has announced the dismissal, sacking and warning of 38 for various acts of misconduct and offences against standard practice.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Abubakar Umar, revealed that the sanctions were in line with the Nigerian Correctional Service Act, 2019 and with the approval of the Civil Defence, Corrections, Fire and Immigration Board, CDCFIB.
The statement disclosed that 9 of the personnel were dismissed from the service while 25 are to go on compulsory retirement and 4 more were issued warning letters each.
It assured that the public service will not relent in ridding its workforce of bad eggs.
