The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has harped on the need for an improvement in the internal nomination process of political parties.
Gbajabiamila stated this at the second edition of the Distinguished Parliamentarian Lecture Series in Abuja.
He noted that the green chamber has made improvements to the electoral laws to enable far-reaching reforms to improve the process through which political leaders are elected.
The Speaker added that the country’s system of policing and judiciary, as well as infrastructure and public services, yet so many areas of the national life still fall short of best aspirations.
