The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, is set to auction five slots of spectrum for deployment of the Fifth Generation, 5G, technology.
This was disclosed by NCC Executive Vice-Chairman, Umar Dambatta, during the public hearing and inquiry on the proposed draft regulations on telephone subscriber registration, SIM replacement and spectrum allocation, 2021, in Abuja on Tuesday.
The Legal Services Department of the Commission, led by Josephine Amuwahe, added that Subscribers below the age of 18 are not allowed to own a Subscriber Identity Module, SIM, while each subscriber is allowed to register four SIM cards per network provider.
