British Prime Minister’s special envoy, Simon Gass, has held talks with senior members of Afghanistan’s new Taliban government in Kabul.
The British foreign office said, Gass met Deputy Prime Ministers Abdul Baradar and Abdul Hanafi on Tuesday.
It added that they discussed how the United Kingdom could help Afghanistan address a deepening humanitarian crisis, and the need for safe passage for those who want to leave the country.
Taliban’s foreign ministry spokesman, Abdul Balkhi, said the meeting focused on detailed discussions about reviving diplomatic relations between both countries.
