Unidentified gunmen shot dead a man and his wife identified as Sampson Owobo in Owerri, Imo State.
According to report, Owobo was a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The incident happened on Sunday night, beside Chisco Transport company office very close to the Owerri Area police command office, putting the residents and business owners into confusion.
An eyewitness said that the fleeing gunmen were trying to snatch a bag of money from the couple who run a Point Of Sale business, but when the could not succeed in snatching the bag, they shot the man in a close range at his forehead.
