Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has launched the maiden Compressed Natural Gas- powered Mass Transit Buses, on Monday as part of efforts to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal by the Federal Government.
The launch of the CNG-powered buses took place at Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Speaking during the inauguration, Abiodun pledged that his administration would do everything within its power to guarantee that the people receive the assistance they require.
He noted that the government has set up a gas refilling station in Obada Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state, adding that it is providing the required infrastructure across the state to support the buses, particularly gas stations along the routes and terminals.
