The Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo has been reportedly removed from office during the plenary sitting of Tuesday held at the assembly complex.
Oluomo is a third-term lawmaker representing Ifo State Constituency II.
A third-term lawmaker representing Odeda State constituency, Oludaisi Elemide, has been named as the new Speaker.
Soneye Damilola Kayode, representing Obafemi Owode Constituency, said Oluomo lied that the governor, Dapo Abiodun, was not giving the House any money.
Kayode said members found out that the Speaker was not informing them that the governor had been giving them money.
