Nigeria forward, Taiwo Awoniyi was on target as Union Berlin recorded a 2-0 home win against VFL Wolfsburg in their Bundesliga clash at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei on Saturday.
Awoniyi put the home team in front four minutes after the break following a set up by Japan midfielder Genki Haraguchi, making it his 6th goal in eight league appearances for his club this season.
Meanwhile, in Premier league, Liverpool trashed Watford 5-0 at Vicarage Road, with three goals from Roberto Firmino, a strike from Sadio Mane and a goal from Mohamed Salah which saw him equal Chelsea legend Didier Drogba’s record as the highest scoring African player in the English Premier League.
