Singer Davido debunks rumour arrest

Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has dismissed reports that he was arrested in East Africa.
There were reports that the singer was arrested in East Africa where he was on tour on April 1st, 2024.
According to the reports which were later said to be in line with the April Fool tradition, cocaine was found in the aircraft of the musician.
But in a statement shared via his Instagram story today, Davido said rumors were completely false.
Davido stated that throughout his career, he had never been arrested in Nigeria or anywhere in the world, adding that he had a successful tour in Uganda and Kenya and has now returned to Nigeria.
