The Supreme Court has affirmed the appointment of Justice Ijeoma Aguguo as Chief Judge of Imo State.
A suit was filed by Justice Brown against the National Judicial Council, NJC, challenging the appointment of Justice Aguguo.
In the ruling, the court discovered the supposed Justice Brown was a fictitious name used to institute the suit and struck it out.
Speaking on the Supreme Court victory, Chukwuma Ekomaro who served as lead defense Counsel in the appeal, said the victory was a toast to the Governor’s stand for justice and fair deal to all, adding that by the judgement of the Supreme Court, sanity has returned to the State’s Judiciary as merit has been returned to the system.
