The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), has dismissed a viral claim suggesting that an unnamed woman obtained a Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) score without taking the exam.
The allegation surfaced through a Facebook post by a user named Gozie, who alleged that a candidate received exam results despite not participating due to technical issues at her center.
Responding to the report, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, labeled the information as false and malicious, emphasizing that it was an attempt to undermine the board’s credibility and urged the public to disregard such misleading claims.
In his statement, Fabian revealed that further investigations showed that some individuals tamper with results sent to other candidates, modifying the details to make false claims, and he reassured the public of the integrity of the board’s processes, vowing to tighten result verification to prevent further incidents.
